Meekert, our cat, became ill with kidney failure, and while treating with subcutaneous fluids twice a day, she became terminal with severe heart failure. She made us realize that we have a touch for helping animals who may need extra attention. Even though she is no longer with us, Meekert’s spirit lives on here at the farm. If you come to visit, you’ll even see a handmade sign in the barn “Meekert’s Hen House” which was the original name of the chicken coop from the old house. (and if you see a 2000 GMC Envoy driving around town with the license plate “MEEKRT”, be sure to wave!)
